Drill Fitter – Drill & Blast Operations

Full-Time FIFO | Excellent Salary | Drill & Blast Operations

We are seeking experienced Drill Fitters to join our team for a FIFO role (2 weeks on, 1 week off) on an exciting project. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and servicing drill rigs and ancillary equipment to ensure secure and efficient operations.

About the Role

As a Drill Fitter, you will work on Sandvik and Caterpillar drill rigs and associated equipment, performing maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting to keep operations running smoothly. This is a site-based position requiring strong technical skills and a commitment to safety, reporting to the Site Maintenance Supervisor

Key Responsibilities




Service and maintain drill rigs and ancillary equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues
Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures
Work collaboratively with site teams to minimize downtime

Qualifications
Trade qualification as a Heavy Duty Fitter or equivalent
Proven experience with drill rigs (Sandvik and Caterpillar preferred)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Commitment to safety and quality standards
Air Conditioning License Highly Regarded, Cert II in Fire protection Highly Regarded

Previous experience in drill & blast operations
Ability to work FIFO on a 2:1 roster
Robust work ethic and team-focused attitude

Location: Site-based FIFO
Roster: 2 weeks on, 1 week off
