Localing creates and delivers premium, bespoke local experiences across Australia, including Brisbane, Byron Bay, Sydney, Melbourne and Tasmania.

About the role

As a Localing host, you welcome guests, drive and host them through the day, and bring your city and region to life along the way. No two days are the same: one might be a relaxed food and wine walk, the next a full VVIP itinerary with a tight schedule. Workdays run between 4 and 12 hours depending on the tour, and all our hosts drive and guide.

About you

Previous guiding experience isn't essential. You do need to know your city properly: the key precincts, how to move between them, and the places worth a detour and some of the most popular regional areas. If you can talk about a laneway, a gallery, a winery or a lookout with real interest rather than a memorised script,



you'll fit right in.

You are:
A natural storyteller with genuine enthusiasm for people
Somebody with real interest in one or more of: culture, food and wine, wildlife, history, music, arts, fashion
Responsible, self-motivated, and comfortable running a day on your own
Warm, reliable, and able to read a room
Comfortable and confident driving inside and outside the city
Proficiency in a second language is highly regarded

Requirements
Over 25 years of age
Hold an ABN (contractor role)
Valid, unrestricted Australian driver's license
Valid first aid certification, or willingness to obtain one
Passenger transport license in your state, or willingness to obtain one

Availability
⁠Positive availability across the summer season
Must have availability for a solid portion of the holiday weeks, including some public holidays
