VTG Waste & Recycling is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Waste Facility Operator to join our growing team. This role supports the safe handling, movement and storage of packaged and containerised wastes across our site and customer locations.

About the Role

As a Waste Facility Operator, you will be responsible for the safe receival, handling, storage, and dispatch of packaged and listed wastes including drums, containers, IBCs and pallets. You will work as part of a supportive operational team and follow site procedures and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Load and unload packaged waste (drums, containers, IBCs, pallets)
Operate forklift and other relevant site equipment safely
Inspect packaged waste for condition, labelling and compliance requirements
Segregate and store packaged waste in designated areas in line with procedures
Complete documentation such as checklists, load details and manifests
Maintain clean and orderly storage and operational areas
Participate in toolbox talks, pre-starts and safety reporting
Identify hazards and report incidents,

About You
A strong commitment to safety and following procedures
Experience working in waste, logistics or industrial operations
Ability to perform physical tasks and work indoors and outdoors in NT conditions
Robust teamwork and communication skills
Valuable attention to detail, including accurate labelling and segregation
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic

Role Requirements
Forklift License (LF)
Dangerous Goods awareness/experience (desirable)
Spill response awareness and use of spill kits (desirable)
