Position: Full‑Time Chef

Dong Bo Sung, located in Lidcombe is a vibrant Korean & Chinese restaurant known for authentic flavours, fresh ingredients, and a warm dining experience. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full‑Time Chef to join our kitchen team and contribute to delivering high‑quality dishes to our customers.

About the Role

The Chef will prepare, cook, and present a wide range of Korean and Chinese dishes, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency in a fast‑paced kitchen workplace.

Key Duties
Prepare ingredients including washing, trimming, slicing, and marinating meats, seafood, and vegetables
Cook and present Korean and Chinese dishes according to restaurant standards
Prepare soups, stir‑fries, noodles, rice dishes, stews, and specialty menu items
Create sauces, broths, condiments, and side dishes
Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation
Ensure timely delivery of dishes during service
Manage stock rotation, storage,



and inventory
Minimise waste and optimise ingredient usage
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment
Follow strict food safety and hygiene standards
Assist with training junior kitchen staff

Requirements
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or higher (required)
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Chef (required)
Experience in Korean and/or Chinese cuisine (highly regarded)
Solid understanding of Asian cooking techniques and flavour profiles
Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen
Knowledge of food safety and WHS standards
Reliability, teamwork, and robust attention to detail
Applicants must have valid working rights in Australia

Pay: $79,000.00 – $83,000.00 per year
