This role is for someone who goes beyond "compliant on paper". You will test whether assessment tools, assessor judgements and evidence would genuinely stand up to scrutiny, identify systemic weaknesses and work constructively with trainers and product developers to strengthen practice.
Key responsibilities
Own the training and assessment QA framework, sampling priorities and validation program
Independently review assessment tools, mapping, benchmarks, evidence requirements and assessment conditions before release
Lead pre-use and post-use validation and moderation activities
Review student assessment evidence and assessor practice for sufficiency, consistency and adherence to approved tools
Coordinate trainer/assessor observations and quality coaching
Provide independent quality oversight of learner guides, assessor guides, session plans, online content and contextualised resources
Maintain structured QA oversight of offshore delivery and bilingual/contextualised assessment processes
Identify recurring issues,
require rectification and escalate systemic training/assessment risk to the CEO and Compliance Manager
About you
TAE40122 or recognised equivalent/higher credential and/or Quality Auditing qualifications
Deep RTO experience in assessment development, validation and training/assessment quality assurance
Robust applied knowledge of Principles of Assessment, Rules of Evidence, mapping, benchmarks, practical assessment and RPL
The ability to review evidence critically and explain exactly why something is or is not defensible
Experience supporting audits and corrective actions relating to training and assessment
A coaching mindset, rigorous on standards, constructive with people
Experience with aXcelerate or comparable SMS/LMS and digital learning settings is desirable
