The trackwork supervisor supervises training activities and oversees the implementation of the club's training rules and regulations. The role maintains accurate records of usage and upholds safe work practices.
Key responsibilities
Unlock gates and check the safety and security of the facilities prior to commencement of track work
Ensure the clubs rules and regulations are complied with by all complex users
Communicate with trainers on issues and provide information that ensures the smooth daily operation of track work
Activate and provide clear instructions to all participants in the event of an emergency situation which includes activating warning systems for loose horses, fallen riders or any other incident
Be the first responder to an injured person and apply necessary first aid including phoning for an ambulance in responsible cases that require immediate medical attention
Internally report any incident involving a horse or person
About you
Ability to work independently and be self motivated
Able to be at work at 4.00am in the morning
Current First Aid certificate (or ability to get one)
A sufficient knowledge of horses and their behaviour
Solid communication skills
Ability to transparent think, solve problems and deal with any potential conflict situations
