The Cheesecake Shop Willoughby is seeking an experienced and motivated Pastry Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, baking and decorating a range of cakes, pastries and other bakery products while maintaining high standards of quality, presentation and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

· Check the quality of raw materials and accurately measure and weigh ingredients.

· Prepare and bake cheesecakes, mud cakes, sponge cakes and other cake and pastry products.

· Design, prepare and decorate birthday, celebration and specialty cakes using cream, icing and other decorations.

· Knead, mix, mature, cut, mould and shape dough and pastry products.

· Prepare a variety of fillings, creams and other pastry components.

· Operate relevant baking and pastry equipment, including dough rolling and moulding equipment.

· Monitor baking times, temperatures and product quality to ensure consistency.

· Clean and maintain baking trays, tins, utensils, machinery and other cooking equipment.

· Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.





· Comply with workplace health and safety requirements.

· Work effectively with other members of the kitchen and bakery team.

These duties closely follow the duties contained in the employer's previous Pastry Cook advertisement, including cake baking and decoration, pastry and filling preparation, equipment operation, quality control and cleaning/safety responsibilities.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate should have:

· At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role;

· Valuable knowledge of cake and pastry preparation and baking techniques;

· Strong cake decorating and presentation skills;

· Ability to work efficiently in a busy production environment;

· Valuable attention to detail and product quality;

· High standards of hygiene and food safety; and

· Robust teamwork and communication skills.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
