We are seeking a proactive and reliable Maintenance Officer to provide maintenance within an aged care facility. This role is responsible for ensuring buildings, grounds, equipment, and facilities are maintained to a high standard, creating safe, comfortable, and well-presented settings for residents, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities
Carry out general building and grounds maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks.
Complete a variety of handyman duties including painting, tiling, basic plumbing, light carpentry, changing light fittings, gutter clearing, television installations, and general repairs.
Maintain gardens and outdoor areas, including mowing, edging, watering, weeding, and planting.
Assess maintenance requests and engage external contractors where specialised skills or licensing are required
Ensure maintenance tools, equipment, vehicles, and testing devices are serviced, compliant, and fit for purpose
Safely store and manage chemicals, equipment, and hazardous substances.




Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete required documentation and reports
Adhere to all workplace health and safety requirements, policies, procedures, and relevant legislation
Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in audits and compliance activities.

Your Profile
White Card (Construction Industry Induction)
Current unrestricted driver's licence
Previous experience in a Maintenance Officer, Handyperson, Facilities Maintenance or similar role
Sound knowledge of building maintenance practices and preventative maintenance programs
Solid commitment to workplace health and safety
Good communication and customer service skills
Intermediate computer skills
Fully maintained company vehicle
Autonomous role with robust organisational support
