Job Title: Front Checkout Staff / Cashier

Position Summary

We are seeking friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Front Checkout Staff to join our store team. As the primary face of our supermarket, you will deliver effective checkout service, process transactions accurately, and ensure every customer leaves with a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service: Welcome shoppers warmly, answer basic product or store inquiries, and handle customer requests with enthusiasm.
Point of Sale Operations: Scan items quickly and accurately, manage register operations, and handle cash, card, and electronic payment transactions.
Accuracy & Cash Handling: Maintain an accurate till, follow proper cash-handling procedures, and process refunds or rainchecks in accordance with store policies.
Product Care: Handle merchandise carefully—especially perishable or delicate items—and assist with basic bagging when needed.




Register Area Upkeep: Keep your assigned checkout lane clean, sanitized, tidy, and fully stocked with bags, paper rolls, and supplies.
Loss Prevention: Ensure all items on the belt and bottom of carts are scanned and report any discrepancies or shoplifting concerns to management.

Requirements & Qualifications
Prior retail, customer service, or cashier experience is preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
Strong communication skills and a courteous, qualified attitude.
Basic math skills and comfort using digital Point of Sale (POS) touchscreens.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items up to 10–15 kg (20–30 lbs).
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Pay: $26.44 – $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
