About the role

The Tailor plays a crucial role at The Fitting Room Tailoring a leading alterations and tailoring business of high-quality fashion. As the tailor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional seamstress work with extensive experience, helping customers adjust their garments to their perfect fit and style for their needs. This full time position is based in our Gold Coast store.

What you'll be doing
Actively engage with the fitters understanding the pinning and work required on the garments.
Expertly sew and providing recommendations for alterations on the garment.
Maintain a well-organised work space.
Assist with stock alteration racks and communication with fitters in the tailoring room.
Provide friendly and attentive service and the ability to work independently.
Productive with your work to ensure work is completed quickly and of a high standard.
Collaborate with the wider store team to achieve productivity targets and deliver an exceptional alteration to clothing.

What we're looking for
Previous experience in tailoring in retail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with the team.




Excellent seamstress's knowledge and an eye for detail to ensure premium work.
Versatile and adaptable, with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced workplace
A team player with a positive, customer-centric attitude
