What's involved

Deakin University in Burwood are looking for a gun Barista to join the team.

The Hours;

Monday to Friday, weekly

7am to 4pm
note: this is an ad-hoc casual position to build out a talent pool.

We require an experienced Barista, comfortable working autonomously in a busy workplace and supply consistent quality coffee. Must be able to work a POS system, make all types of Hot and Iced Beverages.

The Role:
Robust knowledge of coffee preparation methods, including espresso extraction, milk texturing, and latte art.
Ability to operate and maintain commercial coffee machines and grinders.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly,



approachable manner.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and consistency.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Positive organisational and multitasking abilities.
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.
Assist with the set-up of a coffee cart
Serving customers and using POS terminal for payments
Working up to 3kg of coffee per day
Assist with some food service
Cleaning of the coffee cart and packdown
Other duties as required
