We are currently seeking an Transport Allocator / Administrator to join a food distribution company in Botany. You will demonstrate excellent organisational, time management skills and a personable disposition to keep a team thriving and a desire to excel. The ideal candidate will have a natural ability to positively join a team and roll with the punches, be versatile to handle anything that might come their way and display resilience during busy periods.

Objectives of this Role

n

n
Update the daily job roster spreadsheet.
n
Create, allocate, and release tasks using our electronic scheduling system for drivers and subcontractors.
n
Proactively communicate with clients to confirm truck requirements, provide updates on schedules, and address any potential issues before they arise.
n




Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their needs, providing exceptional service, and ensuring consistent follow-ups.
n
Coordinate subcontractor availability to meet project demands.
n
Notify task releases via our SMS messaging system.
n
Manage enquiries from drivers, subcontractors, and clients.
n
Assist in administration with major projects.
n

Skills Required

n

n
Punctual and reliable non-negotiable
n
Previous experience in a Fleet Controller/Allocator position in a multi-drop run
n
Highly developed IT skills and knowledge of computer systems
n
High level of attention to detail to ensure accurate data entry
n
Solid problem-solving skills to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
n
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
n
Prepared to work with a safety conscious team
n

Experience and Qualifications

n

n
Strong IT skills - Microsoft Office, transport systems and Outlook
n
Knowledge of transport industry
n
Must have 2 years experience in a similar role
n
