We are currently seeking reliable, energetic, and professional Casual Gym Instructors to join our dynamic team at out St Albans location.

About the Role

As a Gym Instructor, you’ll play a vital role in creating a welcoming, inclusive, and motivating environment for all members. You’ll work with a diverse range of clients of varying ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels to help them achieve their personal goals and build healthy habits.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct health and fitness assessments and write personalised exercise programs.
Deliver engaging individual and small group fitness Personal Training sessions.
Promote VU Sport programs, services, and membership opportunities.
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming training environment by completing daily cleaning checklists.
Support day-to-day operations, including administration and customer service.

Selection Criteria

Essential
Certificate III & IV in Fitness or equivalent qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Sport Science, Exercise Science, or Clinical Practice highly regarded).
Fitness registration (example; AUSactive, ESSA or ASCA)




Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).

Desirable
Demonstrated experience in coaching or personal training.
Current registration with a recognised fitness body (e.g. AUSactive, ESSA, FitRec, or ASCA)
Experience delivering group fitness sessions.
Proven background in customer service or member engagement.
Previous experience working in a leisure, recreation, or fitness centre environment.
