Protech are currently seeking an experienced Front End Loader / Forklift Operator to join a fertiliser plant operation based at Cairns Wharf. This is a outstanding opportunity for operators looking to secure steady work in Cairns through to Christmas with a well-established local operation.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Commencing ASAP
Casual position
Monday to Friday roster
$33.85 per hour
Occasional night shifts and weekend work required
Peak season role with work available through to Christmas 2026
Based at Cairns Wharf
Working within a fertiliser processing and distribution facility

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate Front End Loader and Forklift safely and efficiently
Load and unload fertiliser products
Assist with general yard and plant operations
Maintain stockpiles and storage areas
Complete pre-start inspections and basic equipment housekeeping
Follow all site safety procedures and workplace requirements
Assist with general labouring duties as required

TICKETS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Demonstrated Front End Loader operating experience
Current Forklift Licence (LF)
Construction White Card preferred




Current Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
Availability to work occasional night shifts and weekendsStrong commitment to workplace health and safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Previous experience in a warehouse, yard, plant or bulk materials setting highly regarded
