Vadals is a family-owned Australian company, situated at Richlands, which supplies goods and packaging to the food industry.

We are seeking a motivated Purchasing Officer to join our growing team in Richlands.

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring stock availability, managing supplier relationships, and supporting the smooth operation of our purchasing function. This is a varied and quick-paced position offering the opportunity to develop your procurement and supply chain skills within a supportive team environment.

What You'll Be Doing
Managing purchase orders across a large range of products and suppliers
Liaising with local and overseas suppliers to ensure timely delivery of stock
Monitoring and tracking orders, providing delivery updates to internal stakeholders
Working closely with Sales, Administration and Warehouse teams to coordinate stock requirements and deliveries
Reviewing product specifications and supplier information
Resolving pricing discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders
Sourcing current suppliers and analysing costs
Processing supplier invoices for payment




Maintaining accurate inventory and purchasing data within the ERP system
Assisting with forecasting and inventory planning

What We're Looking For
Previous experience in Purchasing, Procurement and Supplier Negotiations
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
High attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities
Robust time management skills and the ability to prioritises competing deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
A positive, resilient and solutions-focused attitude
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Experience using ERP systems will be highly regarded
