We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst for a 12-month contract working on complex technology and cloud-focused initiatives within a large Australian government environment.
This is a genuinely technical BA role, suited to someone who can operate comfortably between business stakeholders, technical teams and solution delivery.
Responsibilities:
Working with stakeholders to discover, define, validate and prioritise business and technical requirements
Translating business needs into transparent technical specifications
Supporting solution design and ensuring technical outcomes align with business objectives
Facilitating workshops and undertaking business analysis activities including process modelling, requirements management and data modelling
Documenting systems, solutions and technical processes
Challenging requirements where appropriate while maintaining a solid customer and outcome focus
Monitoring system performance and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement
You’ll need 5+ years’ experience as a Technical Business Analyst working across complex IT projects, with solid experience in:
Cloud infrastructure projects, particularly AWS and/or Azure
Complex programs and structured business analysis practices
Process mapping and documentation
Jira and Confluence within Agile or spec-driven delivery environments
Large enterprise environments incorporating ITSM practices, including change, incident and service management
Experience delivering or supporting large-scale AWS or Azure native systems will be highly regarded, as will Microsoft Azure Fundamentals or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification.
Experience with generative AI, spec-driven practices, design-first principles and the use of AI within software testing will also be advantageous.
