Nora Food & Beverages Pty Ltd TA Daawat-e-Zaika, a busy Indianrestaurant, is seeking an experienced Cook to join our Dinner service kitchen team.

About the role
Full time position, 38 hours per week. Dinner service. Annual salary package: $80,000 per annum. Overtime paid for any hours worked beyond the standard roster, where required.

Duties
Prepare, cook and present a range of Indian dishes to a consistent standard. Plan menu items in consultation with kitchen management. Prepare and cook Indian dishes, sauces, entrées and mains for Dinnerservice. Estimate food requirements and assist with ordering of kitchen supplies. Monitor food stocks and rotate perishable items. Controlling the temperature of grills, ovens, and other cooking appliances Maintain kitchen hygiene, food safety and workplace safety standards.



Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements Supervise and coordinate other kitchen staff during Dinner service as required.

Skills and experience required
Trade qualification (Certificate III or higher) in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent relevant experience. Prior experience working as a cook in a restaurant setting(Minimum 1 year). Sound knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen hygiene standards. Ability to work efficiently under pressure during service. Robust communication and teamwork skills.

Selection is subjected to Interview clearance.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $86,514.51 per year
