Located on the edge of the Bendigo CBD, the Lake View Hotel is one of Bendigo's premier dining destinations.

Our food is inspired by traditional pub fare done with some modern twists using local produce to showcase the wonderful flavours of Central Victoria, complimented by a large selection of local Bendigo and Victorian wines.

About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified chef to join our team of 14 kitchen staff.

You will be required to work a rotating roster including weekends with a mix of split and straight shifts

40 hours per week across 5 days, including weekends. Shifts typically range from 9.30am-2.30pm / 5pm-9.30pm (split) & 1pm-9.30pm (straight)

Your duties will include but not be limited to:
Setting up and stocking all sections of the kitchen
Food preparation and cooking in all sections of the kitchen
All aspects of stock control maintaining, ordering etc.
Up-to-date cooking techniques
Developing recipes, food presentation and designing menus
All cleaning and safety aspects

Skills and Experience:

Personable individual with a passion for food & excellent pub fare.
Must live in Bendigo or be willing to relocate
Full Australian working rights
Experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred
Minimum 2 years experience in a high-volume commercial kitchen environment
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification required
