An established modular construction company is seeking an experienced and highly organised Materials & Supply Coordinator to support its busy production facility in Recent Gisborne.

The primary focus of this role is ensuring all materials and components are ordered, tracked, organised and available when required—allowing the production team to work efficiently and keeping projects on schedule.
Key responsibilities
Coordinate materials and components required for modular construction projects
Ensure materials are organised and ready for the production team
Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, availability and delivery timeframes
Compare supplier pricing, lead times and service levels
Place purchase orders and monitor orders through an ERP system
Track shipments and deliveries from order through to arrival
Proactively identify potential shortages, delays or supply issues
Maintain accurate inventory and materials records
Communicate with production teams regarding upcoming requirements
Coordinate the movement and storage of materials
Supervise and support one direct report
Improve warehouse organisation, stock control and supply processes

About you

To succeed in this position, you will ideally have:




Experience in materials coordination, purchasing, supply chain or warehouse operations
Solid supplier-management and negotiation skills
Experience comparing pricing, availability and lead times
Confidence using ERP and inventory-management systems
Excellent organisational and forward-planning skills
The ability to identify potential supply issues before they affect production
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Experience within modular construction, manufacturing, building products or a similar production workplace will be highly regarded
