Join a growing National / International wholesale company supplying fabrics and componentry to the Blind Industry for over 75 years and a Furniture and bedding retail business.

About the role

Daily operation of multiple warehouse activities including:
Receive daily picking slips, and pick up / prepare the orders for next day delivery
Heavy lifting is required therefore must demonstrate good medical condition and have previously worked in a fast paced workplace
Picking fabrics and cutting to ordered lengths
Operation of forklift
Ensuring that OHS standards are followed
Develop and maintaining a sound knowledge of the company's operation and product.
Participation in annual stocktake

Positive attitude to achieve results as a team, including:




Interaction with truck drivers to ensure trucks are loaded efficiently and accurately for delivery, assisting drivers with the load as required
Interaction with contractors for containers unloading and storage in racking
Working alongside warehouse floor staff

Skills and experience:
Forklift licence highly regarded
Physically fit to work with bulky and heavy stock items
2 years previous warehouse experience
Must be able to read and write English
Ability to work Monday to Friday with occasional weekend during peak times.
Ability to work unsupervised, prioritise your workload and meet deadlines in a quick-paced warehousing setting.
