The Shire of Mundaring is seeking a proactive and community-focused Youth Engagement Officer to lead the development and delivery of youth programs, initiatives and partnerships that support young people across the Shire.

About the Role
Reporting to the Coordinator Youth and Aboriginal Engagement, you will play a key role in implementing the Shire's Youth Informing Strategy and delivering youth-led projects that respond to the needs of local young people. You'll work closely with schools, community groups, government agencies and other stakeholders to build robust partnerships and create meaningful engagement opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:
• developing and delivering youth programs, events and initiatives
• building and maintaining partnerships with schools, community groups and service providers
• facilitating youth engagement and participation across the community
• supporting the implementation and review of youth strategies and action plans




• identifying funding opportunities and preparing grant applications
• providing advice and support on youth engagement practices across the organisation
• monitoring, evaluating and reporting on program outcomes.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
• experience delivering programs and activities for young people
• solid stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
• experience working collaboratively with community, government and non-government organisations
• knowledge of contemporary youth engagement and community development practices
• solid organisational, administrative and project management skills
• well-developed report writing, research and evaluation skills
• relevant tertiary qualifications in Youth Services, Community Services or a related field
• current WA "C" Class Driver's Licence
• current Working with Children Check.
