This is a site based Environmental Officer position supporting the delivery of a major road and civil infrastructure project. You will work closely with the project management and construction teams, overseeing environmental compliance, contractor performance, environmental documentation and site-based environmental risks throughout the project lifecycle.

A well established civil infrastructure contractor delivering major road, earthworks and infrastructure projects across NSW. The business has a strong track record delivering complex civil projects and offers the prospect to work alongside an experienced project delivery team on a significant regional infrastructure project.

Description
Monitor environmental performance and compliance across construction activities.
Conduct environmental inspections, audits, risk assessments and compliance reviews.
Provide environmental advice to Project Managers, Engineers and site teams.
Liaise with regulators, consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
Prepare environmental reporting and compliance documentation.




Support environmental training, inductions and toolbox talks

Profile
5+ years' environmental experience within civil infrastructure, road construction or major projects.
Relevant tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
Strong understanding of environmental legislation, approvals and construction environmental management.
Experience working directly with construction contractors and site delivery teams.
Robust environmental auditing, compliance and reporting experience.
TfNSW road project experience would be highly regarded.
Current Australian driver's licence

Job Offer
$120,000 - $150,000 base + super, depending on experience.
