Job Description

The School of History and Philosophy of Science is seeking to fill two full time academic positions at the level of Lecturer / Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor in History and Philosophy of Science, to join the School's vibrant research and teaching community. They are particularly interested in candidates working in the areas of early up-to-date science, or science or medicine in Asia, or Indigenous knowledge systems, who has:

n
a PhD in History and Philosophy of Science or related fields including STS, History, Philosophy, Asian Studies, Indigenous Studies
n
an excellent research profile evidenced by original, high-quality and independent research (relative to opportunity)
n
teaching experience including course design, coordination, delivery, and assessment
n
the capacity to engage students and enable a supportive, inclusive learning environment
n
experience supervising students at Honours, Masters and PhD level (relative to prospect)
n
excellent interpersonal skills and collegial behaviour of a very high standard.
