We are seeking passionate and skilled Apprentice Chef & Chefs of all levels to join our expanding team in Newcastle, New South Wales. As a key player in our hospitality and catering business, you will contribute to creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests. We have full-time, Part Time and Casual positions available, across our locations, Local Connections Restaurant, Bar on the Hill and our catering business, this is an exciting chance to showcase your in a vibrant environment.

Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the menu and standards set by the Executive chef.
Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets the required presentation standards.
Assist in the development of recent recipes and menu items, contributing to the overall culinary direction of the establishment.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen,



adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and available.
Participate in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work setting.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality and catering industry.
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A passion for food and a creative approach to cooking.
