Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Fire Protection Technician to join our Passive & Maintenance division.
Role Overview
This role covers a combination of fire inspection & testing (I&T;) and passive fire maintenance and repairs across a broad range of commercial and industrial sites throughout the Perth metropolitan area.
You will be responsible for ensuring fire protection systems and passive fire elements remain compliant, functional, and fit for purpose.
This is a hands‐on field role suited to someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, and compliance.
You will work both independently and as part of a skilled and supportive team delivering essential life‐safety services.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out inspection, testing, servicing and maintenance of fire protection systems in accordance with AS ****
Perform passive fire repairs and maintenance, including penetrations, fire‐rated systems and building elements
Complete rectification works to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant Australian Standards
Accurately complete reports and documentation using tablet‐based systems
Liaise professionally with clients, site contacts and internal teams
Identify non‐compliances and escalates where required
Ensure all works are completed safely and to a high standard
Participate in infrequent weekend work and a rostered on‐call service as required
Proven experience in fire protection inspection, testing, maintenance and/or passive fire repairs
Working knowledge of AS ****
Ability to work independently on site and manage assigned jobs end to end
High attention to detail with a solid focus on safety, quality and compliance
Current White Card
(This role is suited to experienced technicians and is not an apprenticeship or entry‐level position.)
Experience working across both fire I&T; and passive fire disciplines
Knowledge of additional relevant Australian Standards
Experience using digital / tablet‐based reporting systems
Background working in commercial or industrial environments
