A prominent and sought after global architectural practice is looking for a Junior Document Controller to join its Sydney team, supporting the efficient and accurate management of project information across large-scale architectural projects.Working closely with project teams and consultants, you'll play an important role in keeping project information organised and moving smoothly across projects.
You'll help coordinate documentation, keep records up to date and make sure teams have the right information when they need it.
The ideal candidate will have some previous experience in document control or project administration within the built environment.This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and proactive individual who is looking to develop their career within a leading international design company that are experiencing an exciting period of growth.
You'll be joining a friendly, driven, and social team that places a strong emphasis on creating a positive working environment, with regular team lunches, weekly socials and plenty of opportunities to connect with colleagues.Key Responsibilities:Maintain project records, registers and filing structures, ensuring information is accurate, organised, and traceableCoordinate incoming and outgoing project documentation using electronic document management systemsApply project, client, and industry requirements to document control processesMaintain accurate version, revision and metadata information across project documentationCheck documentation prior to issue,



ensuring information is accurate and completeSupport the preparation and coordination of project submission packagesLiaise with project teams, consultants and other stakeholders to coordinate project informationMaintain correspondence logs, drawing issue records and other project documentationSupport the management of construction documentation, including RFIs, shop drawings and other project informationAssist project teams with document control processes and project-specific systemsIdentify and raise discrepancies or issues relating to document accuracy, status or information flowMaintain clear and auditable document histories throughout the project lifecycleKey Skills / Requirements:Previous experience in document control, project administration, project coordination, ideally within architecture or the wider built environmentExperience using electronic document management systemsAconex, CMap or Newforma experience is beneficialExposure to large-scale or complex projects is highly desirableUnderstanding of architectural, consultant or construction documentation and project workflowsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong organisational skills and excellent attention to detailConfident managing multiple streams of information and competing prioritiesClear and professional written and verbal communication skillsA proactive approach with a willingness to learn recent systems and processesComfortable working collaboratively with project teams and a range of stakeholdersThe Crowd is an equal opportunities employer and agency.
