ResponsibilitiesA Senior Modeler has the responsibility for applying intensive and diversified knowledge of detailing principles and practices in broad areas.
A Senior Modeler bears primary responsibility for properly executing the accuracy and constructability of the project model(s).
They manage a team of professionals, set direction, outline goals, and execute the project plan.
A senior modeler's roles include complex modeling, planning, organization direction and quality control of projects, being a team leader through technical supervision and staff development.Responsibilities:Build concept models and connections to ensure alignment with design team.Attends kick-off meetings to explain design options and gather information related to schedule and budgetPlans and leads internal and external project meetingsCollaborates with architects, contractors, and other engineering consultants to develop engineering solutionsCoordinates and guides preparation of construction documents with drafters, modelers, designers, clients, and internal quality control staffCommunicates, coordinates, and interacts with clients, consultants, and team members regarding project informationOversees designs, reviews project specifications, and interprets applicable codes and industry standardsGuides/assists other modelers regarding issues such as codes, design criteria, and softwareConducts regular quality-control checks of own or others' work as assignedResolves project issues (e.g., technical, budget, schedule, billing,



etc.)Manages workload distribution and project resourcesCollaborates with project manager to ensure appropriate staffingMonitors the performance of personnel on a continuous basis and reviews performance with individuals per company guidelinesMarkets Walter P Moore services to current and potential clients at professional meetings and other eventsPromotes our Extraordinary Client Experience (ECX), by building effective relationships with customers, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds the customer's expectationsActively participates in industry, client, and community relations to enhance company imagePerforms Other Functions as NeededQualifications15+ years of prior experience with 10+ years of prior experience in Tekla steel detailing on complex projects.Excellent written and verbal communicationStrong organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to engage individuals and teams to complete tasks or projects.Ability to mentor and lead individuals and teams, build partnerships,
