Greenfield Technical Services is a growing organisation providing Civil Engineering and Project Management consultancy services across the state.We have worked with more than 35 local governments and in 50-plus regional towns covering much of regional and remote Western Australia.We know the terrain, we have the people, and we deliver the requirements that help local government and private sector businesses succeed.We are looking for an Organisational Development Manager to join the Greenfield team to lead, develop and manage activities and initiatives across the employee lifecycle.
This includes employee recruitment, development, engagement, communication and retention.
As well as driving the Greenfield vision, mission, values and business objectives in collaboration with the leadership team.This position is an integral part of the leadership within Greenfield, reporting directly to the Principal.The position is fixed term (12 months – parental leave cover), part-time (two days per week or 15.2 hours across the work week - negotiable) and can be conducted working from home within WA only, or from the Geraldton office.What the job involves:High-level Organisational DevelopmentLead and drive the implementation of the Greenfield values, vision and mission across the business in collaboration with the leadership teamDrive the development, refinement, and implementation of agreed Business Objectives in collaboration with leadership teamManage and implement any new organisational/employee development initiatives, including change management activities where requiredCoordinate, facilitate and drive monthly Team Lead/Management meetingsDevelop or review policies and procedures where required across the employee lifecycleOrganisational Capability and RecruitmentDevelop and maintain the company organisational charts – short, medium and long termIdentify required organisation positions to achieve company goals in the short, medium and long termLead processes to recruit recent people into the organisation to suit the agreed company organisational chart and valuesManage all steps of the recruitment process, including advertising, preparation and maintenance of job descriptions, review of applications, short listing, interviewing, offers, and onboardingDevelop and implement onboarding plans for new starters in collaboration with the relevant staffManage staff probation periods and any subsequent actions in conjunction with the applicable supervisor/sProvide ad-hoc support for staff management activities to supervisors as requiredEmployee Performance,



Training and DevelopmentReview organisational training needs (primarily technical/position-specific training rather than OHS training)Review organisational capabilities and potential gaps with reference to current and possible future work scopesMaintain the internal Subject Matter Expert listDevelop, own and maintain a competency framework for developing employees in their current roles and potential future rolesSteward employee development through the developed frameworkCoordinate the annual employee performance and salary review processManage any job description or position moves within the business in conjunction with the supervisor/sAssist with the management and coordination of any underperformance in conjunction with applicable supervisor/sDevelop and implement offboarding plans when required in collaboration with applicable supervisor/s, including conducting exit interviewsEmployee Retention and EngagementDevelop a structure/framework for increasing employee engagementConsider ways to regularly measure employee satisfaction, steward developed processes and act on outcomesDevelop and manage the businesses LinkedIn page, and identify opportunities to use this platform to drive employee attraction, retention and engagementInternal and External CommunicationsManage Greenfield internal communications – e.g. project updates, staff updates, weekly staff Operational meeting, recent works, upcoming opportunitiesManage the businesses LinkedIn page, and identify opportunities to use this platform to grow the businessPromote recent projects on the page and connect with current and future clientsEngage with industry networks to promote Greenfield services and potential future opportunitiesDevelop communications about Greenfield to increase visibility and potential for future workSoft SkillsCommunicationExpresses thoughts and ideas effectively to people at all levels of the CompanyConveys information clearly and concisely in both verbal and written formsListens to others and checks for mutual understandingStays open to other viewpoints and can accept constructive feedback from othersProblem Solving & Decision MakingSeeks all relevant information for problem-solvingInvestigates and probes for the factsIdentifies issues that may hinder completion of tasks and finds appropriate solutionsWilling to seek input from others and share own ideas to achieve best outcomesIdentifies ways to improve systems or processesCultural Awareness & Support of DiversityTreats all people with respectRecognises cultural differences and works to bridge the cultural gapsValues diverse perspectives and demonstrates sensitivity to individual differencesRecognises differences as opportunities to learn and gain by working togetherApplies the Company's policy of equal employment opportunityIntegrated Management System (Quality, Health, Safety and Environment)Implements the Integrated Management System in all aspects of the positionParticipates in quality-related processes and proceduresIdentifies areas for potential improvement and documents in relevant company systemsWhat qualifications and experience are required?
