Excellent senior legal team.We're working with the Australian operations of a major global business looking to add a Legal Counsel to its established Brisbane legal team.This is a broad commercial role suited to a lawyer who enjoys variety and wants to be close to the operational side of a large business.The work will include:Drafting and negotiating commercial contractsProcurement, supply and operational agreementsGeneral commercial and regulatory adviceManaging discrete commercial disputes and insurance mattersSupporting internal investigations conducted under privilegeAssisting with compliance, policies and trainingThe compliance component is only part of the role.
The majority is general commercial legal work,



working directly with stakeholders across a large and complex operating business.About youYou'll ideally have around 3–7 years' PAE with strong commercial contracting skills gained in a leading law firm or in-house environment.You'll be commercially minded, comfortable dealing directly with stakeholders and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where the legal team gets involved in a wide variety of issues.Property, procurement or regulatory experience would also be helpful, but isn't essential.What's on offerMajor global business with substantial Australian operationsEstablished and experienced senior legal teamExcellent opportunity to develop your in-house skillsetInteresting and varied operational workPackage up to approximately $170k including superIf you're looking for an in‐house role where you'll be exposed to much more than just contracts, I'd be happy to have a confidential conversation.
