This is a genuine end-to-end role: you'll get exposure across the full project lifecycle, from early feasibility and network capacity assessment through to construction and operating‐asset support, rather than being siloed into one phase. You'll play a key role in:Assessing grid connection capacity and network risk for prospective wind, solar and BESS sites, including load flow analysis and identification of augmentation requirementsSupporting connection option assessment and engagement with Network Service Providers (NSPs) on behalf of the project development teamContributing to Generator Performance Standards (GPS) modelling and connection‐related technical due diligence for projects moving toward financial closeProviding grid connection input into construction‐phase design reviews, commissioning and generator registrationSupporting compliance testing and connection‐related issue resolution on operating assets,
working alongside the Asset Management teamAbout you3+ years' experience in power systems engineering, either from a consulting background (grid connection studies, GPS modelling, technical due diligence) or from a strong academic foundation in power systems (we're genuinely open to candidates who are stronger on depth of study and modelling ability than years in a commercial seat)Working proficiency in PSS/E and/or PSCAD, plus DIgSILENT PowerFactorySome exposure to compliance and validation processes on operating renewable assets (post‐commissioning testing, performance validation, non‐compliance rectification) is highly regardedTertiary qualification in power systems or electrical engineeringStrong analytical instincts, comfortable working independently, and genuinely curious about how the NEM actually works, not just the theoryWhy this one's worth a lookThis is a rare chance to build genuine end-to-end grid connection experience (development through construction through operations) inside a lean team where you won't be one of forty engineers doing the same slice of work.
Competitive salary plus STI bonus, versatile working (including part‐time considered), and real investment in your professional development.
