Job Description
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-orientedPurchasing Officer to support procurement and purchasing activities across ArkEnergy and contribute to the efficient delivery of business and projectoutcomes.
Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with theProcurement Manager, this role offers the opportunity to develop your career ina growing organisation while supporting the business througheffectivepurchasing,supplier coordination and procurement administration.
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closelywith the Procurement Manager, the Purchasing Officer plays an important role insupporting the procurement of goods and services across the business.
The roleis responsible for coordinating purchasing activities, processing purchaseorders, supporting supplier engagement, and maintaining accurate procurementrecords while ensuring compliance with company policies andapprovalrequirements.
Key Responsibilities Include
Processpurchase orders in accordance with approved budgets, procurement policiesand delegated authority requirements.
Coordinatepurchasingactivities from requisition through to delivery and completion.
Obtainand evaluate supplier quotations and support tender andquotationprocesses.
Supportsupplier onboarding, contract administration and procurement recordmanagement.
Maintaineffective relationships with suppliers to support timely delivery andissue resolution.
Monitorsupplier performance and elevate service, quality or delivery concernswhere required.
Ensurecompliance with procurement policies, approval frameworks and companyprocedures.
Maintainaccurate purchasing, procurement and spend records to support reportingand audit requirements.
Assistin monitoring purchasing activities against budgets andidentifyingexceptionsor variances.
Liaisewith finance, project teams and operational stakeholders to resolvepurchasing and supplier-related queries.
Collectprocurement data and prepare reports, analyses and recommendations asrequired.




Supportcontinuous improvement initiatives that enhance procurement efficiency andvalue-for-money outcomes.

You are a proactive and organised skilled who enjoysworking with systems, processes and stakeholders to achieve efficient businessoutcomes.
You have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skillsand the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level ofaccuracy.
You enjoy working collaboratively, building positive supplier andstakeholder relationships, and contributing to a culture ofcontinuousimprovement.
To Succeed in This Role, You Will Have
Experiencein a purchasing, procurement, supply chain or finance support role.
Experienceprocessingpurchase orders and coordinating supplier transactions.
Strongorganisationalskills and attention to detail.
Well-developedcommunicationand stakeholder engagement skills.
Goodanalytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Highlevel of computer literacy and confidence using business systems.
Experiencewith ERP or procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, Pronto orsimilar(desirable).
Understandingof procurement policies, tendering processes and contractadministration(desirable).
Qualificationsin accounting, business, supply chain or a related discipline aredesirable but not essential.
