In the role, you will be responsible for:
Attending to repairs and breakdowns of production machinery in a timely manner
Execute preventative and routine maintenance procedures to improve efficiency and improve reliability
Liaising with the production team to effectively plan and prioritise work to accommodate production requirements and available resources
Carrying out scheduled overhauls
Evaluate and maintain complex Pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components
Actively seek opportunities to improve operations performance whilst improving system reliability and reducing overall downtime
Undertake and report on condition monitoring of equipment
Machining complex parts
Plan and design projects for new installations and equipment modification and re-design.
Ensure the execution of safety standards and quality assurance practices into all repairs and maintenance activities
Identifying and escalating Animal Welfare, Food Safety & Quality issues, hazards and risks.
To be successful in this role:
Australian mechanical trade qualification




Previous engineering experience in a fast paced food processing setting would be an advantage
Demonstrated continuous improvement approach and ability to support a broad variety of mechanical work with a focus on attention to detail
Ability to work in a timely manner and to deadlines
Be able to work unsupervised and also as part of the site team responsible for all maintenance and continuous improvement of the plant
Strong commitment to Workplace Health & Safety
Good faultfinding and root cause analysis skills, analyzing production machines and correcting faults on manufacturing equipment
Milling and lathe skills to machine complex parts
Advanced Hydraulic and pneumatic skills
Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships, communicate and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders
Ability to identify and introduce improvements in maintenance practices and plant performance
