The Opportunity

TeachIB Diploma Programme English A: Language & Literatureto Years 11 and 12 students
Deliver engaging, inquiry-based, and intellectually rigorous learning experiences
Foster deep engagement with literary and non-literary texts
Prepare students for IB internal and external assessment requirements
Support students to become skilled communicators, critical thinkers, and independent learners
Utilise contemporary teaching practices and digital technologies to enhance learning
Collaborate closely with the English Department and IB teaching team
Contribute to the broader academic and co-curricular life of the school
About You
You are a highly accomplished English educator who:
Holds relevant teaching qualifications
IsQCT registered(or eligible)
Has demonstrated experience teachingIBDP English A: Language & Literature




Possesses a strong understanding of IB philosophy, curriculum, assessment, and approaches to learning
Has experience teaching Senior English and/or Literature
Demonstrates exceptional communication and classroom management skills
Values innovation, collaboration, and continuous professional growth
Understands the importance of strong relationships in supporting student wellbeing and achievement
Brings intellectual curiosity, high expectations, and a passion for literature, language, and ideas
Highly Regarded
The following experience will be viewed favourably:
Experience as anIB Examiner, Moderator, or Workshop Leader
Relevant IB professional development and training
Experience teachingQCAA Senior English and/or Literature
The ability to teach an additionalIBDP and/or QCE subject area
