Mechanics Recruitment, on behalf of our esteemed client, is seeking an experiencedSenior Workshop Managerto lead astate-of-the-art tanker repair facilityin Western Australia.
This is a rare opportunity to manageone of WAs most advanced heavy vehicle workshops, specialising inbulk liquid tanker maintenance and repair.
Thishigh-level leadership roleis ideal for a seasoned professional with strong expertise inmechanical servicing, fabrication, workshop operations, and compliance standards.
Youll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the workshop, driving efficiency, ensuringindustry-leading safety and compliance, and leading a highly skilled team.

Key Responsibilities
Overseeall aspects of tanker repairs, servicing, and maintenance
Lead and mentorsupervisors, technicians, and fabricators to ensure peak performance
Manageworkshop scheduling, production planning,
and labour allocation
Overseebudgeting, job costing, and financial performance
Ensurestrict compliancewith industry standards, including AS****, OH&S;, and heavy vehicle modification regulations
Drive a safety-first cultureand enforce OH&S; best practices
Implement process improvement strategiesto enhance efficiency and productivity
Act as theprimary contact for clients, ensuring service excellence and strong stakeholder relationships
What Youll Need to Succeed
5+ years experiencein a senior mechanical or fabrication workshop management role
Proven leadership skillsAbility to manage large teams and complex projects
Expertise in heavy vehicle repairs, mechanical servicing, and fabrication(bulk liquid tanker knowledge highly desirable)
Strong financial acumenBudgeting, job costing, and cost control experience
Hands‐on experience with scheduling, production planning, and workforce management
Technical knowledge of AS****, OH&S;, and heavy vehicle modification standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/job tracking software
A strong safety mindsetand a thorough understanding of compliance regulations
