Job Description
We are currently searching for an experienced Mechanical Fitter or Hydraulic Technician to join an established Australian manufacturer and service provider.
Based in Campbellfield, you will diagnose, service and repair specialised truck-mounted hydraulic equipment, working alongside an experienced team of technicians.
The role offers reliable weekday hours of 7:30am–4:00pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30am–1:00pm Friday, with no regular weekend work.
What you will do:
Diagnose hydraulic, mechanical and basic electrical faults
Repair pumps, cylinders, valves, hoses and mechanical components
Strip, repair and rebuild truck-mounted equipment
Complete MIG welding and general repair fabrication
Read hydraulic and engineering schematics
Assist other technicians and support apprentices
What we are looking for:
A recognised mechanical fitting or related trade qualification




Strong hydraulic fault-finding and repair experience
Experience with mobile, heavy-vehicle or industrial equipment
Ability to interpret hydraulic or engineering schematics
Basic welding and fabrication skills
A practical, safety-conscious and team-focused approach
Waste equipment experience is not essential.
We also welcome applications from people who have worked on mobile plant, trucks, forklifts, EWPs, cranes, tail lifts, hook lifts or agricultural machinery.
What is on offer:
$55–$60 per hour, depending on experience
