Job Description
Boston Built is looking for an experienced Commercial / Industrial Site Manager to take the lead on one of our major projects in Brendale, North Brisbane.
n
And there's a big reason we're looking for the right person.
n
This project is just the beginning.
n
We have four consecutive projects lined up, giving the right person genuine long-term job security and the opportunity to grow with the business.
n
Our current project involves the construction of three large-scale bulky goods warehouses, which Boston Built will retain, lease and manage as part of our growing property portfolio.
n
We're not simply building and walking away.
n
We're building assets we intend to own.
n
That means quality, programme, safety and workmanship matter — because we live with the result.
n
WHY BOSTON BUILT IS DIFFERENT
n
Boston Built operates differently to most builder-developers.
n
We have our own internal construction teams, giving our Site Managers significantly more control over project delivery.
n
Our internal structure and site teams include:
n
Formworkers
n
Steel Fixers
n
Labourers
n
You won't simply be coordinating subcontractors from the sidelines.
n
You will be driving our internal teams every day, along with the support of your site team, back by the office and senior management.
n
You'll be responsible for setting the standard, planning ahead, coordinating resources and getting the absolute best out of the people around you.
n
That requires a Site Manager who can lead — not just manage.
n
THE ROLE
n
We're looking for someone who can take ownership of the site and drive the project from start to finish.
n
Someone who is organised, proactive and always thinking three steps ahead.
n
You'll be responsible for:
n
Leading the day-to-day site operations
n
Driving our internal construction teams
n
Planning upcoming works and resources
n
Managing programme and critical path activities
n
Coordinating trades, suppliers and subcontractors
n
Maintaining a high standard of workmanship
n
Driving site safety and compliance
n
Managing site logistics and sequencing
n
Identifying problems before they become problems
n
Keeping the project moving and the team accountable
n
Working closely with Project Management and Senior Management
n
Delivering the project on time, safely and to a high standard
n
WE WANT A LEADER — NOT A BOSS
n
This is probably the most important part of the role.
n
We want a people person.
n
Someone who understands that getting the best out of a team isn't about screaming the loudest or throwing your weight around.
n
It's about earning respect.
n
You build relationships.
n
You hold people accountable.
n
You recognise good work.
n
You support your team when things get difficult.
n
And you create an environment where people actually want to turn up and do their best work.
n
If you're the type of Site Manager who can walk onto site, know what's happening, know what needs to happen next and have your team moving in the same direction — we want to hear from you.
n
FORWARD THINKING IS EVERYTHING
n
We need someone who doesn't wait for tomorrow's problems to become today's emergencies.
n
You should naturally be thinking:
n
What's happening next week?
n
What resources do I need?
n
What's going to hold us up?
n
What needs to be ordered?
n
What needs to be coordinated?
n
Where are we going to lose time?
n
How do we get ahead of it now?
n
The ability to plan, organise and stay ahead of the programme will be critical to your success.
n
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
n
We're looking for an experienced Commercial / Industrial Site Manager who:
n
Has a strong track record delivering large-scale commercial or industrial projects
n
Is confident leading large teams
n
Has excellent planning and organisational skills
n
Understands construction sequencing and programme
n
Takes ownership and accountability
n
Has a strong eye for quality
n
Is safety-focused
n
Communicates clearly and confidently
n
Builds strong relationships with trades, subcontractors and internal teams
n
Can motivate people and get the best out of them
n
Thinks ahead and solves problems before they escape
n
Brings energy and a positive attitude to site
n
Actually enjoys construction and takes pride in what they deliver
n
THE OPPORTUNITY
n
$200,000 – $250,000 + Super
n
But this isn't just about the salary.
n
You'll be joining a business with:
n
4 consecutive Brisbane projects already lined up
n
Robust long-term job security
n
Direct access to Senior Management
n
Significant internal construction resources
n
A genuinely hands‐on leadership role
n
And the opportunity to grow alongside a builder-developer that is continuing to expand its own property portfolio.
n
LOCATION
n
Ready for your next long‐term move?
n
If you're an experienced Site Manager who wants more than just another project to put on the CV — if you want to lead a team, have genuine influence over delivery and be part of a business with a serious pipeline of work — we'd like to hear from you.
n
Build Big. Build Better. Build Together.
