Job Description
n
As the Banquet & Events Manager, you will play a key leadership role within our Food & Beverage team, leading the delivery of weddings, conferences, special events and banquet operations at The William Inglis Hotel - MGallery Collection.
n
When events are not in operation, you will support our wider Food & Beverage outlets, ensuring seamless operations, engaged teams and consistently elevated guest experiences across the hotel.
n
Working closely with the Food & Beverage Manager, Chef de Cuisine and wider leadership team, you will bring our luxury service standards to life through visible, hands-on leadership, developing your team and creating memorable experiences for every guest.
n

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead the operational delivery of weddings, conferences, corporate events and functions
n
Lead, coach and inspire Food & Beverage teams across events and daily operations.
n
Deliver elevated guest experiences in line with MGallery and luxury service standards.
n
Partner closely with Sales, Events and Kitchen teams to ensure seamless event execution.
n
Lead service briefings, team communication and operational planning.
n
Develop supervisors and emerging leaders through coaching, feedback and hands-on support.
n
Foster a positive team culture built on trust, accountability and collaboration.
n
Support departmental revenue, profitability and commercial performance.
n
Build strong relationships with guests and clients, personalising experiences and exceeding expectations.
n
Support labour management, rostering and operational efficiency.
n
Identify opportunities to enhance service, revenue and guest satisfaction.
n
Uphold HACCP, WHS, Accor and MGallery standards across all operations.
n

Qualifications
n
About You
n
You are a passionate hospitality professional who thrives on delivering exceptional experiences and leading high-performing teams.
n
You will bring:
n
n
Proven experience managing events, conferences, weddings or functions.
n
Proven Food & Beverage leadership experience, with a background in luxury hotels, premium venues or high-volume hospitality environments preferred.
n
Strong knowledge of restaurant and banquet operations.
n
The ability to lead, coach and inspire high-performing teams.
n
Strong commercial awareness, with experience in labour management and financial reporting advantageous.
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
A genuine passion for guest service and creating memorable experiences.
n
A calm, organised and solutions-focused approach in a quick-paced environment.
n
Full working rights in Australia.
n
Flexible availability across a 7-day operation, including weekends and peak periods.
n
Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
