We have exciting contract opportunities available across remote and regional communities in NSW, the Northern Territory, Queensland and Western Australia, supporting children and families and making a genuine difference in communities where your skills are highly valued.

With contracts of up to 12 weeks, excellent rates and travel and accommodation provided, these roles are a great opportunity to experience a new location while continuing to do meaningful clinical work.

Your responsibilities may include:
n
n
Conducting child health and developmental assessments
n
Monitoring growth and development
n
Providing childhood immunisations and health checks
n
Identifying developmental or health concerns and initiating appropriate referrals
n
Providing education and support around nutrition, feeding, sleep, behaviour and parenting
n
Supporting early childhood development and health promotion
n
Working collaboratively with GPs, Allied Health, Aboriginal Health Workers and other multidisciplinary professionals
n
Managing follow-up, recalls and ongoing care
n
Providing culturally safe and respectful care to children and families
n
Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and meeting relevant professional and reporting requirements
n




Working independently and confidently within a remote community environment
n

To be considered, you'll ideally have:
n
n
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
n
Postgraduate qualification in Child & Family Health Nursing
n
Recent experience working in Child & Family Health
n
Strong skills in developmental and child health assessments
n
Experience with immunisations, growth monitoring and health promotion
n
Excellent clinical assessment and care-planning skills
n
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
n
Ability to work autonomously in a remote or regional setting
n
A flexible, adaptable and resilient approach
n
Commitment to providing culturally protected, child- and family-centred care
n
Current driver's licence and relevant checks
n
n
Remote or Aboriginal community health experience is highly regarded, but we are also interested in hearing from experienced CHNs who are looking to take on their first remote contract.
