Exercise Physiologist — Part Time

Health Max Exercise Physiology is looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and personable Accredited Exercise Physiologist to join our growing team in Manly.

About the Role
n
This is a part-time, hourly position working from our private clinical strength studio in Manly.
n
You'll work with a varied caseload, delivering individual and small-group exercise interventions for people who want to become stronger, move better and maintain their independence.
n
Our clients include older adults and people managing osteoporosis and osteopenia, musculoskeletal conditions, chronic health conditions, disability and age‐related changes in strength and function.
n
You'll have the autonomy to develop as a clinician while working within a supportive team that values clinical excellence, genuine relationships and measurable client outcomes.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualised, goal‐focused exercise programs.
n
Deliver one‐on‐one and small‐group sessions incorporating strength, balance, aerobic conditioning and functional training.
n
Work with clients managing chronic disease, musculoskeletal conditions, disability and age‐related functional decline.
n
Monitor progress using objective measures and progressively adjust exercise prescription.
n
Maintain clear and accurate clinical documentation.
n
Communicate with GPs and other allied health and medical professionals where appropriate.
n
Educate clients around exercise, falls prevention, pain management and long‐term self‐management.
n
Contribute to the continued development of our clinical systems, programs and culture.
n

Essential Criteria
n
n
Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) status with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA), or eligibility to obtain accreditation.
n
Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Exercise Physiology.
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
n
Sound clinical reasoning and a client‐centred approach.
n
Confidence working independently while contributing to a small team.
n
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
n
Appropriate working‐with‐children and other screening checks as required.
n
n
Clinical experience is valued, but new graduates are encouraged to apply. We're more interested in finding the right person than simply the longest CV.
