Camden Haven High School is a dynamic, inclusive, integrated face-to-face and distance education campus, providing learning opportunities for 1,719 students across NSW.
The school has 687 face-to-face students, 336 full-time distance education students and 696 students accessing single courses through distance education.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students are strongly represented, with 247 enrolments across the school.
Teaching staff deliver learning across both modes, providing a broad and flexible curriculum responsive to the diverse needs, interests and aspirations of students.

Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position.
In addition to the general selection criteria,
Demonstrated outstanding knowledge and understanding of the NSW Technological and Applied Studies (TAS) curriculum, with the capacity to lead high-quality implementation across Home Economics disciplines, including Food Technology, Textiles Technology, Hospitality – Food and Beverage (VET), and Technology Mandatory, to support engaging, inclusive and innovative teaching and learning practices.
Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage Home Economics facilities, resources, equipment, budgets and learning environments, ensuring that teaching programs operate safely, efficiently and in accordance with NSW Department of Education policies, procedures, Work Health and Safety requirements and relevant curriculum and VET requirements.
Demonstrated ability to build staff capacity through mentoring, professional learning, collaborative planning and the sharing of effective pedagogical practices.
Demonstrated capacity to translate school improvement priorities into measurable actions and sustainable practices that enhance teaching, learning and student outcomes.
General Selection Criteria
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality,



inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
