Max-Term Full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 4:45pm

Located at Freeman House, Armidale + some flexible working arrangements

Your Role
n
As an Identified Case Worker at Freeman House, you will provide compassionate, non-judgemental support to clients, helping them feel welcomed, heard and supported from their first point of contact.
n
In this highly rewarding role, you will support clients as they engage with the service and begin their journey towards positive change. You will build trusting relationships, provide tailored one-to-one support and case management, and empower clients to work towards improved health, wellbeing and social outcomes.

Your Responsibility
n
n
Support the intake process and engage with clients accessing the service
n
Build warm, respectful and trusting relationships with clients
n
Provide case management and individual psychosocial support in line with best practice and the Society's AOD Model of Care
n
Support clients throughout their recovery journey and connection with appropriate services
n
Facilitate group programs and activities, or undertake training to develop group facilitation skills
n
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve positive client outcomes
n
Maintain accurate and confidential client records
n
Engage with families and significant others where appropriate
n
Participate in assessments, case reviews and ongoing support planning
n
Maintain a robust commitment to client privacy, confidentiality and professional practice
n

About You
n
n

Experience working directly with people in a client-facing or support-focused role
n
Comfortable and willing to facilitate groups, with training provided
n
Strong communication, engagement and relationship-building skills
n
A warm, empathetic and non-judgemental approach

The ability to maintain client privacy and confidentiality
n
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
n
A commitment to culturally safe and respectful practice
