Job Description
Position:
n
The Duty Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and operational management of the Takeaway service. This role ensures efficient service delivery, high standards of customer service, strong food safety compliance, effective stock control and team supervision.
n
The Duty Manager provides leadership to front-of-house staff, supports kitchen coordination, and ensures the takeaway operates in a safe, clean, organised and welcoming environment for all employees and customers.
n
About You:
n
n
2 years' experience in similar Duty
Manager/Coordinator
role
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to interact sensitively and positively with culturally diverse people
n
Display leadership, coaching and mentoring skills to develop and support a team
n
Ability to be flexible, multi-task and problem solve to ensure high-quality delivery of service
n
High attention to detail in presentation, hygiene, and customer service.
n
Good knowledge of and commitment to protected working practices
n
Demonstrated understanding of food safety and cleanliness standards.
n
Excellent organisational and time management skills are essential
n
n
Qualifications and Minimum Experiences:
n
n
Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
n
Experience in a customer-facing or hospitality setting.
n
Experience using POS systems (Lightspeed highly regarded).
n




Supervisory or leadership experience desirable.
n
Experience working in a community-focused or remote setting is desirable.
n
n
Other Requirements:

n
Hold a current or ability to obtain - National Police check
n
Hold a current or ability to obtain - NLC Work / Resident permits (with assistance)
n
Manual Drivers Licence (Class C NT) (or willingness to obtain)
n
Current NT WWC Ochre Card (or willingness to obtain)
n
