About the Role:
Looking to start a hands-on career with Australia's leading pump, power and water treatment solutions provider? We have an exciting prospect for a Trainee AIC Technician to join our team in Adelaide.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, learning new skills, and being part of a supportive team. You'll work alongside experienced technicians, assisting with the installation, maintenance and mobilisation of pumping equipment used across the water, wastewater and construction industries.
The role is primarily field based, giving you the opportunity to work across a variety of sites and locations. When not on site, you'll be based in our workshop helping prepare equipment and materials for upcoming projects.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Your responsibilities may include other tasks as directed by your manager from time to time.
Assist with the installation and commissioning of pumping systems
Assist with the mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment
Carry out general labouring and workshop duties
Prepare equipment, tools and materials for site work
Assist with basic maintenance and repairs of plant and equipment
Assist with testing and checking pumping systems




Complete inspection, testing and safety paperwork as required
Follow system drawings and instructions when preparing equipment for site works
Work closely with team members and other departments to support business operations
Maintain a safe work environment and follow all OH&S; requirements
Deliver excellent customer service and represent the NPE brand professionally
Travel within South Australia and interstate as required
Participate in training and development opportunities
Other duties as directed by your supervisor
Key Competencies:
Essential
Current Driver's Licence
White Card (or willingness to obtain)
Forklift Licence (LF) or willingness to obtain
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Reliable and hardworking with a strong work ethic

Previous labouring, construction, trade assistant or outdoor work experience

Experience using hand and power tools
HR Licence
Poly Welding Ticket
Confined Space Entry Ticket
Working at Heights Ticket
Dogging/Rigging Licence
Exposure to construction, dewatering, pumping, plumbing or related industries
