About the role
n
As an experienced mechanical fitter, you will use your fault finding skills and general mechanical maintenance experience to ensure that fabricated production machines and equipment are operating efficiently. This is a highly technical role working with DS Structural Steel Pty Ltd in Adelaide.

Key responsibilities
n
n
Reads and interprets engineering drawings and specification.
n
Erect Structural Steel members
n
Fits fabricated metal parts into products and assembles metal parts and subassemblies and equipmen
n
Operates machines and tools to fabricate and erect metal components
n
Measures and fits metal components using hand tools, power tools and machines
n
Prepares and configures machine tools for specific jobs, and ensures correct fixtures, settings and tools are applied
n
Assembles metal parts and subassemblies according to engineering specifications
n
Repairs and maintains machines and equipment by replacing or repairing faulty parts
n
Tests and adjusts machines and equipment to ensure proper functioning
n

About you
n
n




At least 5 years of extensive and solid experience in mechanical fitting, steel erection, especially experience in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and breakdowns
n
Understanding and following occupational safety practice guide
n
Able to work under pressure and limited supervision
n
Productive communication skills that can collaborate with team
n
Australian recognized Mechanical Fitter Trade qualification
n
