The Restaurant Manager is a pivotal role at The Colley Hotel, a dynamic multi-faceted hospitality venue located in the heart of Glenelg, SA. The Restaurant Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth daily operations of the hotel restaurant, with a focus on exceptional customer service and efficient management of the team.

What you'll be doing
n
Manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure efficient and smooth service
n
Recruit, lead, train, mentor and supervise front of house staff
n
Prepare staff rosters and manage labor costs to maximise operational efficiency
n
Deliver outstanding customer service and professionally resolve customer feedback and complaints
n
Ensure compliance with Food Safety Standards, Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), liquor licensing requirements and company policies.

Monitor stock levels, order supplies and maintain robust supplier relationships
n
Manage budgets, control food and beverage costs and improve profitability
n
Monitor sales performance and implement initiatives to increase revenue and customer satisfaction
n
Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain exceptional food quality, presentation and service standards
n
Prepare operational and financial reports for senior management
n
Assist with marketing initiatives, promotions and community engagement activities
n
Foster a positive workplace culture built on teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement
n
What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar Restaurant Manager role within the hospitality industry
n
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests and staff at all levels
n
Proficient in using hotel management software and point-of-sale systems, H&L; system
n
Thorough understanding of hotel operations, including high-quality customer service, food and beverage
n
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions to resolve issues
n
