About the role
We have a unique chance for an experienced and commercially oriented Senior Corporate Lawyer to join our highly respected corporate legal team to provide complex legal and policy advice to State Trustees on its obligations.
Reporting directly to our General Counsel, your responsibilities will also include providing recommendations, referrals and strategies where appropriate.
As a senior member of the team, you will be required to oversee incoming work requests from internal stakeholders and effectively manage workflow amongst the corporate lawyers.
You will also provide technical supervision and coaching to the Corporate Lawyer.
Skills and Experience
Admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor in Victoria.
Eligibility to apply for a Practicing Certificate under the Legal Profession Act ****.
Relevant experience in providing legal advice to a corporate body.
Knowledge of the Trustee Act **** and Trustee Companies Act ****.
Highly developed professional communication skills (written and spoken).
Highly developed analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
Basic computer literacy, including competent use of Microsoft Office.
