What this opportunity involves
The Event Planner is a key role within Salesforce's facilities and events management team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of events held at Salesforce specialty locations.
This position requires a strategic thinker with strong operational skills to ensure the successful planning, execution, and evaluation of a diverse range of events, from intimate team meetings to large-scale conferences and product launches.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning and Coordination: Oversee the end-to-end planning process for all specialty events
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand event objectives and requirements
Develop comprehensive event plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
Coordinate with various departments (IT, Security, Catering, etc.) to ensure all event needs are met
Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers
Operational Management:



Ensure compliance with safety regulations, capacity limits, and campus policies
Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage event budgets
Track expenses and prepare financial reports
Optimize resource allocation across multiple events
Identify cost‐saving opportunities without compromising event quality
Client and Stakeholder Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external event clients
Conduct pre‐event consultations to understand client needs and expectations
Provide regular updates to stakeholders throughout the event planning process
Gather and analyse post‐event feedback for continuous improvement
Technology Integration: Leverage Salesforce platforms for event management and reporting
Ensure seamless integration of technology for virtual and hybrid event components
Stay updated on event technology trends and recommend innovative solutions
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of event coordinators and on‐site staff
Develop training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge
Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the events team
Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility: Implement sustainable event practices aligned with Salesforce's environmental goals
Ensure events reflect Salesforce's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Incorporate corporate social responsibility initiatives into event planning when appropriate
Sounds like you?
This is what we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field
5+ years of experience in event management, preferably in a corporate or tech environment




Proven track record of successfully managing large‐scale events
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent project management and organizational abilities
Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as required
Certification in event planning (e.g., CMP, CSEP) is a plus
Experience with Salesforce CRM and other Salesforce products
