The role

We have an opportunity for a Qualified Maintenance Fitter and or Electrical Fitter to join our close knit and supportive team at our clients Thornton Site.
Ideally, you will be someone who has previous maintenance experience.
Utilising your existing skills, you will assist in developing preventative maintenance strategies.

Responsibilities
Contribute towards the safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment
Carry out preventive maintenance routines
Ability in identifying the Root Cause of equipment failures
Timely and effective resolution of plant failures
Partake in capital and improvement projects
Able to identify improvement opportunities
Follow WHS directives
Required skills, experience and qualifications:
Working knowledge and application of preventative maintenance strategies
Has been working/has worked in a maintenance team with standard, structured work with accountability for delivery of maintenance KPI's
A great attitude and genuine desire to produce high quality results
High level knowledge & commitment to WHS and risk management
Sound verbal and written communication skills
Formal Trade qualifications are required.
Willingness to do shift work as required.
Intermediate computer skills
MMAW & MIG welding skills (TIG optional)
Significant experience as a Maintenance Fitter, preferably manufacturing.
Ability to work individually or as a team member
Hydraulics and Pneumatics training and experience
Ability to work to a versatile schedule
Forklift ticket
Reliable transport
Desirable
Experience in using a Computerised Maintenance System MEX
Working at Heights ticket
Rigger or Dogman ticket
Ability to work Overtime as required
