About the role:
The Customer Service Officer is a multi-skilled frontline role delivering customer service, library and visitor information services through Council's Community Service Centre at Collarenebri.
The role also delivers agency services on behalf of Australia Post.
The position is the everyday face of Council in the Collarenebri and surrounding community and requires flexibility, problem-solving and commitment to meeting the needs of residents and visitors across services whether at the front counter, on the phone or online.
About you:
A genuine interest in customer service, administration, and library and visitor information centre services.
Ability to process payments and handle cash, EFTPOS and digital transactions accurately, and to reconcile and account for funds.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on providing excellent service to customers and stakeholders.
Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and processes accurately.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook) and Content Manager/TRIM or similar records management system.
Knowledge of workplace health and safety, the Child Safe Standards,



privacy requirements and customer service principles applicable to a public-facing role.
Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain.
