Our Strategic Asset Management team delivers trusted advisory services across transport, energy, mining, water, facilities, and social infrastructure, working nationally and internationally as an integrated practice.
We are seeking an
Asset Engineer
to join our growing Strategic Asset Management team on the Sunshine Coast.
As part of the asset management team, the
Asset Engineer
will support WSP's Asset Manager in the delivery of the asset management, investigation and design coordination services of a major road maintenance contract.
The asset management team is responsible for the development of forward works programs and asset management planning activities of road infrastructure assets.
WSP's role
is confirmed until at least the end of June ****.
This Asset Engineer role is a full-time role, located at WSP's Sunshine Coast office, Emporio Place, Maroochydore, Queensland.
What You'll Do
Manage asset inventory, datasets, and assessments as directed by the Asset Manager.
Support and train others in asset information systems.
Monitor and report on asset inspection regimes and frequencies.
Conduct asset inspections (pavements, culverts, table drains) as needed.
Contribute to asset management plans, including the Contractor Tactical Asset Management Plan.
Develop the pavement Forward Works Program.
Liaise between Routine Maintenance and Asset Management teams on programming and approvals.
Update condition and inventory data.
Attend contract meetings and workshops as required.
Communicate with asset management specialists.
What We're Looking For
Asset Management Awareness or at least 2 years of experience in road/civil design, data analytics, asset management, asset maintenance, asset management systems, pavement design, or related advisory roles.
Client-Centred Approach: Ability to build and maintain solid client relationships through effective communication and tailored service delivery.
Analytical Thinking: A strong analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and the ability to transform complex data and present in a clear, actionable format, including PowerBI visualisations.
Communication Excellence: strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and data presentation.
Team Collaboration: A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn from and mentor others.
A Bachelor's or Post-Graduate degree in a relevant field
Driver's License
Construction White Card (desirable)
